A few from recent days

This morning we went to pick up Connor and my mom and dad's. My dad went outside and started to make a snowman. I don't think he has EVER made a snowman with us, but it was neat that he did it with the grandkids. The snowman was huge, and completely out of proportion. Huge head, medium body and huge bottom. Crazy just like us. His eyes are made out of pretzels, mouth is celery, and nose is corncob. He turned out pretty cute, and it made for a fun morning!

Last night was the Cystic Fibrosis bowling fund raiser. It was a huge success, the silent auction raised $4,400!! The whole event raised 45-50,000 (Not sure yet!) I guess we will be doing the silent auction next year.

I watched Maggie Friday night while the boys went to the home show and these two had a great time playing. They got along really well and we didn't have any bouts of "mine" until they we both super tired.

A big ole basket!

Well, this is a picture I took of the scrapbooking basket I made up for the auction this weekend. I forgot to take it before it was wrapped and buried by other baskets, so ignore the bad pic. I am pleased with the way it turned out. Hope it raises a decent amount of money.
The eclipse looked pretty cool tonight so I decided to bust out my new tripod. Well, I don't have the right lens and frankly it was too darn cold outside to mess with the settings so I didn't get any pictures. I guess the next thing on my list should be a photography class. I think it would help me out a bit.

No pics tonight

Nothing really to share. Connor now goes into everyone's closet and gets their dirty clothes out and puts them all in one big hamper to go downstairs. He loves to help me, I wonder how long it will last. The things that kids do, they are amazing!

Softball for JDRF

I tried posting these earlier, but blogger was locked up. The boys played softball for the JDRF fundraiser yesterday and it was COLD and MUDDY! The fields were covered in water and everything was a mess. I don't think I've ever seen Marisa so dirty in her life! Neil was a mess after he took a slide into third base.

Someone aquired a taste

for ICE CREAM!! We stopped by McDonald's so I could get a sweet tea and Connor got a kiddie cone. (Only because he ate almost all of his taco and rice) Total shock!!

Still limping

Connor woke up this morning and took off running, but then stopped suddenly and said he didn't want to walk. Well, he has been limping today, but doesn't say his foot hurts. He can stand on one foot and runs every once in a while. He is babying it a bit though, I hope it's better tomorrow.

Jan said he was taking his pain out on everyone else today. She said he had a few bouts of "bi-polarism". Great, my sweet baby is becoming a bully. He told me he hit Samantha. I guess honesty is key.

An injury at our house

Tonight Connor was running around like crazy and I guess he twisted his ankle. Chris & I were in the kitchen, so we didn't actually see what happened. Connor is usually a tough little cookie, but I think he has figured out how to milk it for what it's worth. What do you think? He spent the evening telling me he couldn't walk, and when he tried he limped. I think he actually did hurt himself. Let's hope he forgets about it when he wakes up!
