I love it when people stare at us for bringing a stroller with no child...we always get comments about how great of an idea it is. His boots and wheelbarrow. Everyday when he comes home, the first thing he does is put on his "work" boots! He LOVES to play outside and he will not got out without them because they can get muddy! The wheelbarrow was a present from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas and he loves to tote it around. He follows daddy while mowing the grass picking up leaves and sticks for him, fills it up with water and sand and also hauls grass and dirt for us. He is such an AWESOME helper!!!

I need to buy another pair of boots while they are still out because the day that these need to retire will be tragic...I think there may be a hole in one as his feet have been a little when after taking them off.

I had my injection yesterday and it was not the most pleasant experience I've had to say the least. I did sleep all night, which was a first in a LONG TIME. Today was trying once again, my range of movement seems to be a bit better. Lets hope it continues to get better.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-87547545625168186212009-07-20T19:05:00.000-07:002009-07-20T19:15:56.207-07:00HOLY COW!!!

I'm updating my blog with pictures!!!! We have been super busy lately and I've not been feeling very well with my herniated disc...the pain gets worse everyday and I am to start with injections tomorrow. I pray that it will work without surgery. I can't believe July is almost over, the summer is FLYING by...we have not spent much time in the pool because it hurts to get in and out of the pool, so I find no relief from it. We are on vacation in two weeks and as of right now, we are not going anywhere. If all goes well and I can sit in the car, we may go to Myrtle Beach. Not sure at this point!!!

As most of you know, my grandmother passed away last month and lately, I've had some really intense questions from Connor about Grandma. He wants to know how she got to Heaven, what God eats, is she really okay and can she talk again? He also told me that God was his favorite "guy" because he is taking care of Great-Grandma. The one thing he said that blew me off my feet was that he said, when he is a great-grandpa, he will go to Heaven too....the though process of the child and where his mond goes! He is asking all of the questions that we as adults have about death and are unsure of the answers.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-68273635580321848652009-06-20T21:08:00.000-07:002009-06-20T21:16:10.724-07:00SlackerI have been such a slacker, I know. I have been so busy at work, selling BeautiControl and just everything. I have been dealing with back, rear and leg issues lately, only to find out that I have a very LARGE bulging disk. Don't know what that means, but I am going to the Neurologist in Friday. Must not be good, because specialists usually take a while to get in to, but the nurse requested to see me in 1-2 weeks after reviewing the MRI results. I have been doing physical therapy, which had not really made any difference and the medicine doesn't make the pain go away, so frankly I'm just miserable. I am most miserable in the mornings after laying down in bed. Once I am up moving around, I'm ok by afternoon. It sucks, and I just hate it. I have to remember to get up often at work, or my body really aches. Enough about my crappy body, I promise to update pictures soon...

We have been spending our time in the pool lately. Connor requests to go swimming all the time. He will jump in, get out, jump in, etc a hundred times, I swear. It should be a fun summer, since we have our outside work done and will be able to use the pool more. (Except for the fact that my leg really hurts to climb the ladder)Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-15724573805749456352009-03-08T19:26:00.001-07:002009-03-08T19:38:40.965-07:00Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!!!That's what I have been lately. I have decided to start doing direct sales along with my FULL time job. I am now a consultant for BeautiControl. For those of you who don't know what BeautiControl is, here goes. We sell skincare for various ages, makeup, etc. I joined because I developed terrible acne last year and I tried Proactiv. Well, needless to say, it dried my skin out tremendously. After hearing of BeautiControl, I thought I would give it a try. I have been using it for 1 month and my skin has improved tremendously. (I can actually go to the gym without covering up the blemishes)

Chris and I discussed it for a while and he has been very supportive. As most of you know, I am a people person and I needed some social interaction other than my family at work. I hope I gain some new friendships and of course extra money for a new house that Chris and I hope to build someday soon. We have a promotion going on until May and I am eligible for a trip to the Bahamas. While I would love to go, that's not top priority in my book. Never know though, I may change my mind, the closer I get.

Nothing new in our family...Connor is rotten as ever, does not stop talking and really comes up with some crazy things to say. The other day he told me something was none of my business. What?!?!?! The nice weather this weekend did him some good, because he was out ALL THE TIME!!! Well deserved after a long winter being cooped up.

We are itching to go camping, not sure that we will get to go in March though. Oh well. Enough about me, I'll try to post more soon.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-87297081848784054542009-01-29T19:36:00.000-08:002009-01-29T19:43:47.493-08:00Sledding and shovelingWell I'm sure you all have the same type of photos, but I thought I would add mine. Connor has loved every bit of the snow. He goes out for a few minutes in the morning and has spent his days at Jan's out and at home at night. He will be sad when it melts. This is the first year that he has truely gotten to enjoy it without falling face first every time he tries to walk.

He love to shovel...I wonder how long that will last.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-16886230500204410912009-01-18T18:21:00.000-08:002009-01-18T18:23:33.630-08:00Still working hard!!I have worked out for 2 weeks straight without a day of rest. I even went to the gym tonight, on a Friday!!! Can you believe it???? I have never in my life done that before. I am feeling great, and think about working out a lot. Today, after doing the elipitcal, we went to the family night at the YMCA and swam in the pool. After that, we had ice cream at Dairy Queen, bad I know. I felt so bad, I came home and did 30 min on WiiFit.

All of this motivation that I have is great, but I need to work on my eating habits. I have managed to do better for breakfast and lunch, but dinner has been tough. I think I have been burning so many calories, that I am STARVING....when that happens, I make terrible choices.

GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK: Make better eating choices.

TO THE NEW ME!!!Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-66612320821076459952009-01-08T20:38:00.000-08:002009-01-08T20:43:20.463-08:00So, my last poststated by saying that I hoped to be going to the gym this week. Well I have been on the WiiFit for an hour on Mon, the gym Tues & Wed, tonight WiiFit for an hour. I am loving this!! I already feel better. I actually look forward to working out. I have never felt this way before. I like the Wiifit because it breaks up the monotenous workouts at the gym. Of course it is not as strenuous, but I am still moving. They even have a free step which you can step to the beat while watching TV. Pretty cool huh? I wish I would have started this long ago, but there is no better time than the present. To a new ME!!Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-76502326095378459032009-01-05T19:21:00.001-08:002009-01-05T19:27:16.149-08:00Not much here...Had to go back to work today. I was kind of getting used to half weeks!! Anyway, I got alot done while being off. All the decorations came down and were all put away in the attic. (Note to self: We doNOT need anymore x-mas decorations) I also organized all of my pictures from COnnor's birth on. Quite an acomplishment I must say. They are all organized in the computer and in order in the boxes. Now I can get busy scrapping. Chris bought me a scrapping toy for x-mas and I haven't gotten to use it because I was overwhelmed with pictures. Now that it's done, I should be able to get somewhere.

I am pooped. I did the WiiFit for an hour today. It really is a fun way to be active. Connor was playing right beside me, it was cute!! My leg/rear is still bothering from my either pulled hamstring or Sciatic nerve. It had gotten much better and the yoga has really help stretchmu muscles out. Hopefully, I will be at the gym this week. For those of you who know my dad know that these hands have put to use a lot over the years.

I just love this picture of Connor in his new Speedracer hat and fleece jacket. I've been playing with my camera a lot lately and using it on Manual mode.

Christmas was great, totally uneventful, which is unheard of. We had six shifts of family, but it all turned out ok. Connor got a TON of gifts, we are still trying to find a place for everything. Some of his favorites are his camper, wheelbarrow, and toolbench. Some things have not even ventured out of the boxes yet, we will save those for later. We still have one more Christmas tomorrow since my brother was in Chicago.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-74923775503451658662008-12-24T11:28:00.001-08:002008-12-24T11:31:25.132-08:00Merry X-mas eve!!

I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday. I can't believe it. No pictures tonight though. I have ALL of my presents wrapped. I've finally gotten rid of a lot of paper, considering I usually buy each year and never seem to run out. I'm sure I will go out after work tomorrow and find a few other things to buy, as if I don't buy enough for my boy. I tell ya, we will need to get a bigger house after all is said and done.

We have busy days ahead of us. Tomorrow we get off work at noon. Woo Hoo!! We will stop by and see grandma at the assisted living home. Tomorrow night, we really don't have anything planned but church. We usually do dinner are g-mas, but obviously we can't this year.

Christmas day is our hectic day. Chris' mom is coming over in the am. We then go to my mom and dad's, Chris' g-mas, Chris's dad's, and maybe his aunt's. Whew, that's a mouthfull just saying it. We do have off work on Friday, which is super nice!! I plan to work on my organizing. I may just want to do nothingh though, so we'll see.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-30880832565487540292008-12-22T18:58:00.000-08:002008-12-22T19:12:12.802-08:00New picsThe first is a pic of Connor at breakfast with Santa. He was freaked out when Santa came in and Chris held Connor next to Santa. Connor then, watched a few kids sit next to Santa and he walked right up on his own and sat in Santa's chair. I was completely surprised, considering last year was a no go with Santa. He screamed the whole time. Connor is just a child to do things on his own terms. We didn't make him, but he did it all on his own.
Connor's first "real" person that he drew on his Magna Doodle. He has been drawng shapes and lines for a while now, but he's got the concept of drawing people now with all the works. I don't think it turned out too bad considering I didn't mess with the settings much, but I did take it on manual mode. I have become more organized lately and keeping up with all of the laundry. I am trying to make itan warly New Year's goal to keep the house somewhat tidy. Let's see how it will work!!

As everyone else, I have been busy shopping, wrapping, and planning for the holiday's.

Thursday was my Grandma's 91st birthday and Allison's 11th Birthday. They have a special bond because grandma turned 80 on the day Ally was born. It seems like yesterday. Grandmas is doing better, she has moved back to the assisted living center, which is much better than the nursing home. I pray that we don't have any more issues where she has to back to the hospital. My mom has pretty much been taking care of g-mas issues, which has been taking a toll on her. It's just not fair that she has so many other family members that don't really help. I hope that mom and dad are able to get away for the new year, as they truely deserve it. It's been a while for them.

Recently, Connor has just amazed me at how smart he is. He is always asking, why, who, what, etc. He always wants to know who built the roads, lights, houses, etc. He is so aware of his surroundings and know how to get to most all places we visit. I guess thats a goos reason why he doesn't watch TV. He has finally gotten his alphabet, colors, and almost numbers down. I didn't think it would ever happen. I knew he knew them all though, because he would just say, I don't know that one and then say it to himself. Little snot!!! He also draws actual people now with hair, eyes, arms, etc. It amazing how all of a sudden it is there. I love my boy, and his humor is unbeleivable.

Today, we took Connor to get his haircut, and if any of you know him, he is very quiet. Well, he didn't move or say a word the whole time as usual. There was another woman in the store and she said he was wonderful and they don't see very many children act the way he does. She said that says something for our way of parenting. I took that as a great compliment. Chris and I try very hard to instill good manners, etc in Connor. We agree on every aspect of parenting, which is AWESOME when it comes to discipline.

Well, I will post pictures up soon. I have TONS that need to be downloaded and organized, as I have been taking lots. My goal onmy day off on Friday is to work on that. Yeah, we'll see!!! Off to bed, sorry for the long post. I guess I had a lot on my mind lately.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-9988229185335685552008-12-04T19:54:00.000-08:002008-12-04T20:02:29.504-08:00Not much new herejust getting ready for our party next week. Note to self, do not make peanutbutter kiss cookies with low-fat peanutbutter. Who would do that? Well, I did, because that's what we had here. They are gross. I guess I will have to make another batch.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-33506058030799210662008-11-10T20:17:00.000-08:002008-11-10T20:30:10.571-08:00What a goof! I finally downloaded some pictures. I am going to be busy when it comes tome to order them. Connor got these glasses at Marisa's b-day party in his goodie bag. He found them today inthe toy box and wore them most of the night. They fit him perfectly! Yesterday, he had a stomach bug, tonight Chris has a cold. We all know how hubby's handle a cold... I have been sanitizing like crazy around here. The sicklies are one of the main reasons why I hate this time of the year. All the germs just don't go away. My almost 91 yr old grandma is in the hospital for pneumonia. I really want to go see her, but I don't want to bring our bugs to her. She has some sort of contagious bug that requires her to be in isolation so the other elderly patients don't catch it. It seems to be pretty harmful for both the elderly and babies. Hopefully g-ma can go back to the assisted living home. She really needs to get her strength back so she can walk again. Prayers are sent for her health. We love you Grandma. Connor is ready to go bowling with you at the assisted living center. I have been in a mood today, and frankly, I am just SAD. My heart is just very heavy, and I can't pick it up. A smile is not something that I've been able to achieve. Not even around my friends.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-35143337627122384822008-10-23T20:09:00.000-07:002008-10-23T20:21:58.966-07:00My Birthday!

Today I turned 30 and it was a fantastic day. Chris and Connor got me a sewing machine. I am itching to play with it. I actually have to go with my mom to look at others to see which one "fits" me. Chris bought one of the cheaper ones knowing that I would probably want to upgrade. We went to Outback with our dear friends, the McGuire's and Scott's. I was sad that the Tell's couldn't make it. The kids were something to be desired though. We really should have gone out without them. Susan actually left without eating her dinner because Marisa was being a little stinker. Connor wanted a high chair, and then spilled the WHOLE cup of milk on himself. NICE! He was freezing then, and thought he was in trouble, so that made a scene. I will say, though, Maggie was a little sweetheart and kept telling me Happy Birthday, and she the best behaved out of everyone. She tells me I am "firty". I almost sounds like forty though...

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-74146746637606291132008-10-13T19:18:00.000-07:002008-10-13T19:20:31.968-07:00Note to self...Don't make a homemade apple pie from scratch again. The pir crust is a pain in the butt and I had to mop the floor when I was done. It's much cheaper to buy the crust. I let you know how it tastes when ready. Come to think about it, I don't even care for apple pie. I thought I'd be nice and make one for Chris, it's his favorite.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-50442123189630335112008-10-06T17:22:00.000-07:002008-10-06T17:27:30.910-07:00Not much new hereI haven't updated in a while. Frankly, I haven't taken any pictures, don't know what my deal is. We went to the Chili Cookoff this weekend. Yummm...I love Chili!! Saturday, we had a yard sale and didn't do so well, but my sister, mom and I got rid of junk that we didn't need. None of it went back in the house, all to good will. Yesterday, we went to Marisa's 2nd b-day party at the park. The kids had lots of fun. WOW, I can't believe she is two. Where has the time gone. It seems not that long ago that we were all going out whenever we wanted to, now we have families to manage. Hope all is well with everyone else.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827647416537539250.post-64507884909812961752008-09-22T20:02:00.001-07:002008-09-22T20:10:00.797-07:001st Dentist visitConnor did great at his visit to the dentist. He sat so still, as if noone would see him if he didn't move. I guess we'll start saving up, he will probably have to have braces in the future.

Most 3 yr old don't get x-rays of their teeth. Connor did a great job. The dentist was super excited because Connor was his first "grandpatient". I started seeing him when he first started practicing, so it as nice to see another generation of my family.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06730089931673956861noreply@blogger.com2
